When collecting tickets could everyone check their envelopes to make sure order is correct before leaving.

Dungloe U14 Hurlers played Letterkenny Gaels in Rosses Park on Sunday past in a crucial match to decide qualification for the league semi finals.

Dungloe started against the breeze and the hill and absorbed early pressure well with Harry Noble in goals and his full and half back line all excelling.

Dungloe at the other end were picking off nice scores including a well taken point by Philip Rodgers.

They did concede due to lack of concentration a goal leading up to half time and went in at the break 2.2 to 0.4 down.

The second half proved controversial. Gaels were awarded a goal when the ball it seemed certainly didn’t cross the line and decisions in General were frustrating for the Dungloe team.

Dungloe despite all the odds continued to battle hard.

Thomas Hartnett was excellent at centre back and controlled that area from start to finish. Matthew scored a great goal and could have had two others and James Hartnett got a fine point.

Dungloe hit the post, were guilty of some over carrying and wides, but in general were far more hungry and determined.

The game finished with Dungloe it seemed winning by a point, but disappointingly the referees record was that of a draw.

Odhran McGonagle Joe Greene, Nicholas Wherely were good in defence for Dungloe, but man of the match today was Thomas Hartnett at centre back.

The next game in the league is Thursday against Carndonagh but Dungloe are already certain of a league semi final placing.

Our Senior Team had a win away against Cloughaneely on a score line of An Clochan liath 2-12 Cloughaneely 0-11. Reserves unfortunately were beaten on a score line of An Clochan liath 0-11 Cloughaneely 3-6.
