Margaret Kelly an her husband Pauric are off to Lanzarote to take part in the Iron Man Triathlon this weekend.  ironmanlogo

For the uninitiated this involves a 3.8k swim 180k cycle and 42.2k(marathon) run.

There are qualifying slots for Kona (world championship) available so we
will be following the live feed expectantly.

Margaret and Pauric have been putting in some serious hours training getting ready for the event so we all hope they perform to expectations.

Coincidentally Michael Black is marrying Mary Daly this weekend in Lanzarote so the Kellys should have some support from the wedding party.

Everyone wishes Michael and Mary a long happy life together.

Open water swimmimg continues in Gartan at six thirty Monday evening, followed by the track session Tuesday at eight in Aura, with the pool coaching session on Wednesday at eight, brick/time trail at Foxhall at seven Thursday and club cycle leavin Aura at nine thirty Saturday.

There were two races this weekend and results were as follows
Ballyshannon 5k
10th Martin Devenney 17.28 pb
29th Ben George 19.00
68th Kieran Liddy 22.24
