Despite going behind to the Dublin outfit, Ollie Horgan’s side battled well to come back into the game.

Their task was made more than an uphill one after just 15 minutes when Josh Mailey was red-carded.

Shels had a lot of possession but failed to convert this into any real worthwhile chances in the opening period.

Five minutes before the break, Shels almost made the breakthrough when Cashin stole the ball from Keith Cowan but struck the post.

The table-toppers didn’t have to wait long for the opener when Lee Desmond netted just two minutes into the restart.

A man and a goal down, it looked as if Ollie Horgan’s side had it all to do.

But they stuck to the task and on 67 minutes, teenager Ruairi Keating made it 1-1 to the delight of the Harps crowd.
