Betting giants Paddy Power, have installed Jim McGuinness as a 40-1 outsider, to be given the vacant managerial position at Celtic, following the departure of Neil Lennon yesterday.

Could Jim McGuinness take over from Neil Lennon at Celtic Park? Paddy Power have him priced at 40-1 to do so.

Could Jim McGuinness take over from Neil Lennon at Celtic Park? Paddy Power have placed odds of 40-1 on the Glenties man getting the top job.

The Donegal manager is currently preparing his side for the crucial Ulster SFC quarter-final with Derry on Sunday.

McGuinness is in the betting alongside some of the biggest names in world football.

Alex Ferguson, Kenny Daglish and Jose Mourinho have all been given odds by Paddy Power to take over at Celtic Park.

However, McGuinness who is currently employed with the club’s youth academy as a sports psychologist, is ahead of them in the betting.

McGuinness is priced at 40/1 alongside former Celtic star John Collins, ex-Croatia manager Slaven Bilic, Derby boss and former England manager Steve McClaren and ex-Spurs manager Martin Jol.

For now, McGuinness will focus his attentions on ‘winning matches’ at Celtic Park (Derry), as he looks to guide Donegal into an Ulster SFC semi-final.

But at 40-1 Jimmy could be worth a punt!!!
