Enda Bonner returns to the council chambers after losing out in 2009, first time independent candidate Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig ran a superb campaign and was also elected.

Terence Slowey (FG) had a huge battle with Ian Molloy (FF) for the final seat, but the Ardara man came through in the end and secured his seat, and won re-election to Lifford.

The trio join Sinn Féin duo Marie Therese Gallagher and John Shéamais Ó Fearraigh and Seamus O’Domhnaill (FF).
