MENS FOOTBALL
Due to Donegal’s participation in the Ulster Championship on Sunday, our senior and reserves had a weekend off. Malin GAA

At the time of going to press, it looks likely that we will be involved in a double round of fixtures this coming weekend, a trip to Termon on Friday evening, followed by a journey to Dunfanaghy to take on St Michaels on Bank Holiday Monday. More details will be posted on the club social media accounts in the coming days.

UNDERAGE
U6 Boys & U6 Girls: Within the Club we cater for all children from 5 years onwards. Some of the benefits in our coaching to a child at this early stage include balance, coordination, movement, and ball work. Each week, we aim to encourage our young members to learn basic teamwork skills and allow them to learn about Gaelic in a fun filled environment. To join in U6 Boys training takes place at 10am each Sunday, while U6 Girls takes place each Saturday from 11:10 to 12:15. Just bring a bottle of water, €2 & outdoor clothing.
Well done to our under 8 boys and girls who played Moville at the weekend. On Saturday both squads will travel to take on Burt.
Our U10 Boys panel are due to host Moville this Tuesday at 6:30pm. While our under 10 girls will be involved in a small U10 Girls Blitz this Saturday in Connolly Park. Good Luck to the all involved. Training for the under 10 girls age group takes place on Saturdays from 11:10 to 12:15, all welcome.
U12 Boys: Well Done to the U12 Boys panel which won defeated Carndonagh last week at home. The team will now travel to Moville this Tuesday at 6:30pm. This is part of the U12 Go Game Maurice Mc Menamin Memorial Cup. Good luck to the team in their upcoming match.
Congratulations to our U12 Girls who also recorded a fine victory over Carn last Wednesday. There next match is away to Moville.

UNDERAGE QUIZ
Announcing our final school quiz of the year! Open to each of our local schools, we will be testing the young people of the area on their Malin GAA knowledge. With a great prizes up for grab we will be encouraging everyone to take part. As it’s the last quiz of the school year, here’s a little clue to one of the answers. What Malin Senior player wears a Donegal Cap during senior club matches?? Good Luck to everyone taking part & we will announce the winners over the next few weeks.

SPORTS DAY
The Annual Club Sports Day will be held this coming Sunday in Connolly Park. There will be races for all age groups and the usual side shows, not forgetting our now legendary ‘lamb racing’. Events get underway at 2.00 with something for all the family. Proceeds of the event will go to the Donegal Cancer Bus. As part of the entertainment this year we will be running a “Country Queen” Competition. Local businesses will put forward a “lovely girl” to represent them with each girl being put through a couple of fun tasks on the day to test their Country Queen eligibility. This will be rounded off with the winner being announced upstairs that night in the Clubhouse where there will also be live music to entertain everyone. Sure it’s a bit of craic – who wouldn’t want to be Malin GAA’s first ever Country Queen.
COUNTY MATTERS
Congratulations to the Donegal senior and minor squads who both got their Ulster championship campaigns off to winning starts by beating Derry in Celtic Park on Sunday. Both sides will return to action in mid June when they take on either Antrim or Fermanagh. Sunday was also a day to remember for underage member Tiernan Mc Intyre who was in action during the half time interval in the senior game on Sunday.

CUL CAMP
The club Cul Camp will be held on the week commencing 14th of July. The 5 day camp is open to children between the age of 5 and 13. During the first week of June, Maria will pay a visit to each school in the coming weeks armed with the registration forms, On the final day of the camp, members of the Donegal football panel will be in attendance. The annual camp is regularly one of biggest and best attended GAA Camps in the entire county.
