GOLF NEWS: LETTERKENNY LADIES TRAVEL TO ENNISKILLEN FOR CHALLENGE CUP MATCH

LETTERKENNY LADIES GOLF

The Challenge Cup team played at home against Enniskillen last Sunday securing 4 matches and will play the return match in Enniskillen on Sunday 8th June.

The Minor Cup team had to take an over night stay to Whitehead in Co Antrim but they successfully secured 2.5 matches and play the home match on Sunday 8th June.

The Daily Mail Foursome team play Nairin and Portnoo away on Wed. 4th June.

The mixed team play in Ballybofey against Strabane on Friday 6th June.

Good Luck with all the matches.

The continued success of the teams at Interclub level is generating great excitement in the club.  Step aside scramble winners

The supporters at the 13th Hole wait in anticipation to hear the match score and to support the players.

A big thank you to the ladies who take time out and support the teams.

Junior Golf continues every Sunday and volunteers area needed to assist between 6pm and 8pm.

Alphie Greene’s Open was won by Mary McBride, 38pts b.o.t. Runner Up – Marian O’ Sullivan 38 pts and 3rd was Mena Breslin 35pts.

Just a reminder that Open Week will start on June 13th to 22nd.More details next week.

The Ladies Club would like to offer sincere sympathy to Ceile and John Doran and family on the death of Ceile’s mother, Eileen O’Donnell, former member of Letterkenny Golf Club and past Captain of Rosapenna Golf Club.

Her gentle ways and pleasant smile will be sadly missed. May she R I P.

As well as our Ladies Opens, there will also be 9 hole evening competitions. This year, there will be a Golfer of the Week prize and points will be allocated from each competition. The 9 hole competitions are qualifying competitions..
