MET EIREANN has issued a flood warning for Donegal as new lightning storms brought torrential rain to parts of the county.
Torrential downpours have sent flood waters cascading down several roads this afternoon, making driving conditions dangerous.
The downpours are short – lasting less than 10 minutes at a time – but they bring with them an enormous amount of rain.
Some could contain up to 20mm of rain.
