Kilmacrennan NS rounded off the school year with yet another success on the sporting front as they added a fourth piece of silverware to the trophy cabinet.

This time it was in the form of an Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Roinn 2 county title.

They add this success to the Donegal and Ulster Indoor GAA titles won by the girls earlier in the year and the Donegal FAIS soccer title won by the boys in April.

The boys faced off against Tooban NS and Scoil Aodh Rua & Nuala in a blitz style format in the final.

First up was the meeting of Kilmacrennan and Tooban, a game the boys won comfortably on a scoreline of 3-9 to 0-4.

The second game saw Scoil Aodh Rua & Nuala defeat Tooban 1-6 to 0-1.

This led to a winner takes all final game between Kilmacrennan and Scoil Aodh Rua & Nuala.

In a cracker of a final played from end to end, it was the Kilmacrennan boys who prevailed on a scoreline of 3-8 to 1-9.

This led to jubilant scenes at the end as Conor McFadden, the Kilmacrennan captain was presented with the winning shield by Co Assistant Treasurer, Pauline McCabe.
