OISIN’S DEVASTATED GIRLFRIEND JETS OUT TO BE BY HIS BEDSIDE

The devastated girlfriend of a tragic young Ballybofey man who is fighting for his life after a fall will jet to Spain today to be by his bedside.

Finn Harps footballer Oisin Merritt, 19, is in an induced coma after the accident in the early hours of Monday morning last.

It is understood that Oisin suffered a fractured skull and a bleed to the brain.

Oisin’s girlfriend Josephine O’Neill will fly to Mallorca today to join his family who flew out yesterday.

Both work at the Villa Rose Hotel where staff are in a state of shock at Oisin’s tragic accident.

The former St Columba’s College pupil is an extremely popular young man in the Twin Towns.

Finn Harps spokesman Aidan Campbell said the entire club had ben left in a state of shock at the news of Oisin’s accident.

“We are all just hoping and praying that Oisin pulls through.

“He is just such a nice young man and he is very much in our thoughts at the moment,” he said.
