A Donegal woman was on cloud nine after her boyfriend proposed to her on a hot air balloon trip.hot_air_balloon

Romantic Troy Devaney made the most of the good weather to whisk Eloise Gillespie up in the air of Trim in Co Meath.

She thought it was simply a lovely birthday present as they took off.

But Eloise, 38, didn’t realise that classical guitarist Troy was planning to ask her to marry him.

When the couple were airborne Troy, 42, suddenly turned around to Eloise and proposed.

A stunned Eloise said yes to her long-term partner.

“I really had no clue. I initially thought he was going to bring me golfing,” she laughed.
