GAA NEWS: URRIS U14 GIRLS FACE NAOMH COLUMBA IN COUNTY SEMI-FINAL

CLUB MEETING: Meeting on Wednesday night at 8.30pm in Clubhouse, new faces most welcome.

MATCH “N” WIN: Thursday 19th June. No jackpot winner-numbers drawn- 7, 11, 20 & 22. €15 winners: Jennifer Carey, Altahalla, Sadie Mc Laughlin, Tullagh, John Gill, Gortfad, Ken Mc Govern, Douglas, Isle of Man and Kieran Kelly, Tullagh. Jackpot next week €1,700. Thanks to all our Lotto sellers and all who support this weekly draw.

SENIOR & RESERVES: Both teams travelled to Newtown on Saturday night to play N. Colmcille. Final score in Senior match: Urris 5-11 N Colmcille 3-10. Great result, well done to all concerned- Another good display and two more points secured in division 3. Reserves lost their game to a strong N. Colmcille side. Next fixture down, both teams home to Red Hughs on Saturday night but as fixtures can change please check our Facebook page for updates. Training continues for both teams on Tuesday & Thursday night.

LADIES FOOTBALL: Training for our Ladies changed to Wednesday night at 7.30pm.

Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camp: in Straid from Monday 30th June to Friday 4th July. Please contact John Friel on 0860523550 for further details and to book a place.

UNDER-AGE FIXTURES: U10 Go Games, Urris home to Burt on Tuesday night at 7.00pm. U12 boys & girls away to Burt on Tuesday evening also. U16 team in B Semi final playing Carndonagh at 6.30pm, at time of going to press venue not confirmed. U10 girls away to Muff at 11-00am on Saturday morning.

 

DATE for Diary: U14 girls in County B semi-final at home to Naomh Columba on Friday July 4th.

 

BOOT EXCHANGE SCHEME: for Under-age players now up and running: In these times of financial constraints on families the club has introduced this exchange programme-old football boots in good condition that children have out grown can be dropped in or exchanged for a bigger/smaller pair as required. A minimum donation of €5 to the club for the boots that are taken away. Please contact Nichola Lagan on 0866030736 for further information . All boots can be dropped off in the cage at all Under-age training/matches.
