*U14s*

CLG BnG 4-17 Gleann Fhinne 0-4

The U14s returned to action on Thursday evening with a comprehensive victory at home to Glenfin. The sides were meeting in the Semi-Final of the Shield competition and the home team signalled their intent from the offset scoring from the very first play of the game, a high ball into the square from Ryan Toye was met by Rory O’Donnell who made no mistake to o…pen the scoring. O’Donnell was on hand again to get Na Galloglaigh’s first goal, after good build up play from the Moyle men O’Donnell fired the ball past the Glenfin goalkeeper. Further points were added by James Moore, Niall Trarty and Ryan Toye as the home side dominated the first half. CLG BnaG got their second goal after a low powerful strike ended up nestled in the bottom corner. Glenfin did register a number of fine scores however they struggled to find their feet as they went in at half time trailing Milford 2-12 to 3 points. The home side continued in the second half where they left off in the first with more slick passing and excellent build up that allowed Jamie Lee Blaney, Darragh Greene and Peter Curran to increase their advantage and seal the win for the home side. Manager Harry O’Hara will now hope to see a repeat performance in the final where they will take on either Burt or Red Hugh’s with the venue yet to be decided. It was a spirited performance from Glenfin with Peter Curran, Fionn Robinson and Darragh Greene the stand out performers for Baile na nGalloglach. CLG Bng: Odhran Crossan, Luke Serrinha, Conor Coll, Fionn Robinson, Peter Curran (0-1), Kieran Sheridan, James Sweeney, Niall Treaty (0-4) Darragh Greene (2-3), Conor McHugh (1-1), Jamie-Lee Blaney (0-1), James Moore (0-2), Ryan Toye (0-4), Rory O’Donnell (1-2)
