SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESThere was great celebration and excitement at Scoil an Choimín, Glenfinn when singer song-writer and Voice of Ireland star, Paddy Molloy raised the second Green Flag at the school.

Pupils, teachers, staff, parents and friends came together at the school to celebrate this historic day and a wonderful carnival atmosphere was created.

Paddy Molloy, along with the youngest pupil, Dana Nic Giolla Chomhaill, and the eldest pupil, Ciara Nic Daibhéid raised the flag in front of a large attendance.

The theme of recycling and energy-saving was then greatly highlighted when both pupils and staff took part in a ‘recycled’ fashion show which was enjoyed immensely by everyone present.

The creativity of the pupils certainly came to the fore with their ‘fashion’ ideas which showed the use of many recycled items from newspaper to plastic.

The Parent’s Association once again provided everyone with refreshments and everyone returned home delighted with the day.
