COMMUNITY ALERT: At least two gangs of travelling burglars are operating again in Co Donegal after daylight raids today.
A woman had her home ransacked by thieves in Ballyarr, 2kms from Ramelton, shortly after 9am while she was in the town.
A neighbour raised the alarm after spotting one of the thieves exiting the house via a window. Money and a number of personal items were taken.
The incident in Ballyarr is a few hundreds metres from woods where a teenage girl was punched by a hooded man three weeks ago.
A car registration and make was taken and passed to Gardaí.
Around an hour later two homes in Castlefinn were targeted.
Again they were broken into and items of jewellery and money was taken.
Gardaí are once again appealing to home and business owners to step up security around their properties.
