Oisin at work at the Villa Rose…Colleagues have passed on some encouraging news

IT’S the best news from Spain yet – teenager Oisin Merritt is showing new incredible signs of recovery.

The Finn Harps player was injured in a fall on the holiday island of Mallorca last month.

Staff at the Villa Rose where he works have said their work colleague is making more progress.

“Oisin is doing well, there is no longer any pressure or swelling on his brain,” said a hotel spokeswoman passing on a message from the Merritt family who have been by his side for four weeks.

“Oisin has moved his left hand and right leg over recent days and has tried to cough.

“The doctors have all said that this is nothing short of a MIRACLE, that no one with the level of pressure that Oisin had has ever survived and that it is not the medicine that is doing it, the doctors cannot believe it.

“Oisin’s family have asked us to THANK you all for your prayers and to please keep them coming over the next few days as they try to take Oisin out of his induced coma. Thank you everyone.”
