The General Manager of Letterkenny General Hospital has promised a full report on the placing of a covert camera at the hospital.

Sean Murphy has said the report into the incident has been commissioned, carried out and is almost complete.

He stressed that the area in which the camera was found was NOT a changing area for staff and was an office used by maintenance staff.

He would not confirm if he knew the camera had ben commissioned but said he had ordered an investigation when the presence of the camera became known.

He said members of the maintenance staff knew the camera was present in the office.

He said it would be unfair to comment any further as the report into the situation had not been completed or published.
