MEN’S FOOTBALL
Both or Senior and Reserve footballers returned to winning way, recording narrow victories over Ardara in Connolly Park on Sunday.
The reserves set the ball rolling by defeating the south Donegal outfit 0-10 to 0-7, while the seniors followed up by recording a 1-12 to 1-10 win. Brendan Mc Laughlin with the goal from a penalty.
This weekend both sides return to Connolly Park when Ternon provide the opposition in the All County League. Reserve game will get underway at 1.30 while the seniors will be in action at 3.00. We would appreciate as much support as possible for these crucial matches.
LADIES FOOTBALL
Our ladies had a weekend off this week, but return to action when they entertain Convoy at the weekend. Check out the club facebook, twitter and parish bulletin for more details later in the week.
MINOR FOOTBALL
Our minors opened their Northern Board Division 2 championship campaign last week, going down to Red Hughs in Killygordon on a 1-13 to 1-7 scoreline. Next up, is a home clash with St Eunans B.
UNDER 12 BOYS
The panel travel to Burt on Tuesday when they take on the home side in the Gerry O Neill competition. This is followed by their appearance in the 11 aside Inishowen A final in Muff on Sunday. Check out our social media sites for more information in the coming days. We would encourage as many supporters as possible to travel to Sundays final and to give as much vocal support as possible
UNDER 10 GIRLS
Well done to all the girls, who entertained the crowd during the half time interval of the Malin v Ardara encounter on Sunday. They take to the road on Sunday when they travel to take on Urris for an 11-00 throw in.
SCHOOL QUIZ

We would like to thank the parents, children, teachers & school secretaries who have taken part & helped with our School Quiz and we look forward to running similar competitions next year and hope all the children enjoy their well earned summer break.
UNDER 12 GIRLS
Congratulations to all involved in the panel on their 6-3 to 0-3 victory over Urris last week. The 17 strong panel, played superbly, never losing focus in very tough conditions.
CUL CAMP
The annual Malin GAA Summer Cul Camp is just over one week away, running from the 14th to the 18th of July. SUPERVALU VOUCHERS
From now to August 2nd vouchers can be obtained every time you spend €20 in a single transaction in the Supervalu store in Carndonagh. You are asked to drop the voucher in the Malin Club Box located at the customer service desk in the store. If you do not receive your vouchers with your transaction, just ask any member of staff on the tills When 1,000 vouchers are collected the club will receive the Supervalu/O’Neills Training Equipment Kit. This is an excellent way to help promote local business and giving something back to your local GAA club in return.
CLUB SHOP
The Malin GAA club shop will be open in the clubhouse on Saturdays from 12-2 and on Sundays from 11-15 to 2-00. There are a large selection of club merchandise in stock, which can be purchased on the day. A list of other club gear, hoodies, rain jackets, shorts, socks, hats, scarves, kit bags etc are also available to order. The Malin half zipped training tops sponsored by Mark Monagle of 4Mark Construction are also available to order and are proving very popular. LOTTO
There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €900, sequence drawn was 3-6-5-2-4-1-7. €50 winner was Ciara Houghton, Cregna, Malin Head. Ciara also received the 20 euro sellers prize (not a bad days work). Next weeks jackpot is €950 and as always we would like to thank the local community for their continued support of our weekly lotto draw. Envelopes are just €2 or 3 for €5 euro and are available in most pubs and shops in the area or alternatively from our band of young eager sellers.
CAPITAL SPORTS ALLOCATION
Late last week, our club received the welcome news that we have been allocated €60000 through the governments Capital Sports Allocation Programme. This windfall will be a welcome boost as we put the finishing touches to our club gym and fitness suite. We would like to say a big thank you to Deputy Joe Mc Hugh and Councillor Bernard Mc Guinness for their assistance with the application.

Finally, two pieces of good news to end with, congratulations to Mairead and Noel on the birth of baby Charlie last week and also to senior player and fitness guru Charlie Byrne and his new wife Gemma who got married at the weekend.
