DRUMKEEN NOTESDRUMKEEN NOTES

Cake Sale

A cake sale will take place in the hall after both masses this Sat 26th and Sun 27th July to help fund local youths Eoghan Kennedy, Sean Patton and Jerome Duffy who have been selected to take part in the Galway Cup in August. This is a fantastic opportunity for Eoghan, Sean and Jerome to test their skills against the best soccer talent in Ireland. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Skydive in memory of the two Shanes

The skydive in memory of Shane Patton and Shane Brolly raised a total of €10,413.52 (all money raised has been donated to the cardiac unit, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin). Eleven family and friends took to the skies on Sunday 6th July at Kilkenny airfield and many other family and friends came and cheered them on. It was an emotional day for all involved and an amazing experience. We just want to thank everyone who supported and sponsored us and made it a huge success. We hope our 2 boys are proud of this achievement and know they will never be forgotten. People who took part in the skydive were Julie Patton (Shane’s mother) Emma Brolly (Shane’s twin sister) Vicky Galvin, Eimear Mc Elchar, Chloe Kelly, Fiona Galvin, Aaron Carlin, Christy Gallen, Martin Mc Kelvey, Mark Carlin, and Shane Mc Girr.

Drumkeen Band Reunion

The next meeting will be held in St. Patrick’s hall on Monday the 28th of July at 8pm, anyone who may have old photographs or uniforms can bring them along on the night. For more info contact Josephine on 0894385005 or Fiona 0866002234
