Caitlín Nic Aoidh  is one of three new weather presenters on TG4.

432048_2698517822601_897346469_nTG4 has given their station a facelift with Falcarragh woman Caitlín Nic Aoidh now fronting their new weather service.

Nic Aoidh joins Irial Ó Ceallaigh and Fiona Ní Fhlaithearta as the new weather presenters on TG4.

Pádhraic Ó Ciardha, Deputy CEO of TG4 explained the decision to revamp the weather service on TG4.

He said, “TG4’s mission is to present weather information in a way that is both visually attractive and accessible to all, while demonstrating and celebrating that richness and diversity.

Nic Aoidh is a former graduate of NUI Maynooth and earned a Masters degree in Irish from the university.

She also recently completed her post-graduate degree in Secondary school teaching in Galway before landing the high-profile job with TG4.

Nic Aoidh and the other two presenters were selected after an intense and rigorous public competition.

Nic Aoidh has appeared on TV before and it was on rival station RTE.

However, Nic Aoidh wasn’t presenting the weather, she appeared on Winning Streak and collected a cool €50,000 and a car.
