Oisin: Home and getting better

DONEGAL teenager Oisin Merritt has sent a big ‘thank you’ to people in the county for their incredible support.

The 19-year-old talented footballer, who plays with Finn Harps reserves, had been in a coma in hospital in Mallorca after a fall in the resort of Santa Ponsa in June.

But he has made a miraculous recovery and is bow back in Letterkenny and undergoing rehabilitation.

The young Stranorlar mans said he was “absolutely overwhelmed by the support that everyone has given me.”

He went on: “I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for your thoughts, prayers and fundraisers!

“They really helped me pull through. I am just about to start my long road of rehabilitation but delighted to be back in Ireland. Thanks so much.”

His proud sister Tasha took this pic – making sure a football was included!
