There was shock and surprise in Dungloe over the weekend after Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson was spotted holidaying in the area.

The BBC driving star was first spotting filling up his car at Sharkey’s Filling Station.

Locals told Clarkson about the Dungloe Festival Parade taking place later that day and he agreed to take part.

However what first started out as some innocent fun soon turned to concern when organisers realised the man claiming to be Clarkson was actually an imposter.

It is understood the man had been using the strikingly similar looks to the BBC star to gain free food and beverages from local restaurants and bars.

The parade committee have now employed the services of well-known local barrister Jimmy Sharkey in a bid to track down the imposter.

Good luck with that then lads ……..!
