Dinah looks stunning as she boards her personal truck to be taken to her prom!

Most girls dream of going to their prom in a horse-drawn carriage or a limousine.

But Dinah Doherty-McGonagle has always been a fan of trucks.

So it was the stuff of dreams last night when her dad Michael McGonagle arranged for her to be collected in a Scania 143 lorry.

The look on the Errigal College pupil’s face as the truck pulled up outside her Letterkenny home said it all.

Dinah and friends danced the night away at The Station House Hotel.

Needless to say she got a regular taxi home like everyone else!

Mum Bernie said her daughter has always been a huge fan of trucks and it was the perfect surprise for her little girl!

She wanted to say a special thank you to Nerval Porter from Castlederg who supplied the truck for the night.

“It may seem a little unusual but Dinah has always had a thing about trucks.

“Like many of the other pupils from Errigal College, she has really been looking forward to her prom.

“But to arrive in her dream truck really got the night off to the perfect start. We were all so delighted.

“She’s a great daughter and like all parents, we just wanted the best for her,” said Bernie.

Meanwhile Shaun And Conor Mc Cosker also arrived at the prom in style.

The lads took a tractor to the Station House for the big night.

But they were the perfect gentlemen and asked their dad John to take their dates Vickie Mc Gill and Roseleen Gallagher in a black Toyota Avensis.
