Clonmany native Stephen McLaughlin will be hoping he can help Nottingham Forest off to a winning start when they face Blackpool in the opening weekend of the Championship.

McLaughlin made his full debut for Forest towards the end of last season against Leeds United under then caretaker manager Gary Brazil.

It was a dream debut for McLaughlin as he set up the first goal and performed superbly in an excellent 2-0 victory.

McLaughlin has performed extremely well in pre-season, and will be hopeful of gaining a start in the fixture which kicks off later this afternoon.

We wish the former Finn Harps and Derry City midfielder all the best in the forthcoming season at the City Ground.
