COMMUNITY ALERT: Gardaí are hunting burglars behind two home raids overnight.
In one incident thieves made off with a garden strimmer, power washer and a leaf blower after breaking into a shed in Ballyare, outside Ramelton.
A relative was broken into just a few weeks ago.
The gang then made their way to The Glebe nearby where there was an attempted house break-in.
However the gang fled empty handed after being disturbed by a resident.
Inspector Goretti Sheridan appealed to home owners to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Gardaí.
