There will be a reception tonight for Pat Ward, the 81 year-old Rosses AC athlete who won Gold in the Senior category at the National Championships in Tullamore on Sunday.

A reception for Pat will be held tonight at 8pm in Central Park, home of Keadue Rovers FC.

Pat had a distinguished playing career for Keadue Rovers and a large crowd are expected to attend tonight’s reception in recognition of Pat’s wonderful achievement.

Members of Rosses AC have organised the event to celebrate Pat’s wonderful achievements, who proved that age is no barrier when he took home Gold in the 100m and Silver in the 200m.

The Keadue Band will also be in attendance at the reception tonight.
