Emma O Donnell stars as Naomh Muire progress

Emma O’Donnell was in sparkling form as Naomh Muire progressed in the Donegal Junior Championship game at the Burn Road.

Termon who were on the back foot from the opening O Donnell point after 30 seconds found this well oiled Naomh Muire outfit hard to handle but a speculative lob into the Naomh Muire goal area by Tara Mc Daid ended in the Naomh Muire net courtesy of a mixture of luck and poor defending. But Naomh Muire bounced back with Lisa Mc Gee and O Donnell raising green flags for the visitors to lead at HT Termon 1–1 Naomh Mhuire 2–1.

Harry Mc Glynn and assistant Noel Mc Bride’s Termon team was under pressure from the start of the second half when O Donnell fired into Emer Mc Glynn’s net two minutes after the resumption. Robbie O’Donnell the Naomh Muire manager could look on with glee as his young team piled on further scores courtesy of Lauren Ni Ruairi and Erica Hanna. Termon did battle hard and were rewarded when Daria Mc Glynn goaled following good work from Maura Kelly who fed Caroline Duffy who found Mc Glynn with an inch perfect pass.

But the evening belonged to Naomh Muire and as efficient Referee Liam Mc Conigley from Downings blew the final whistle Termon were defeated by a strong Naomh Muire team final score Termon 2–2 Naomh Mhuire 7–7
