CLG BnaG 1-14 Carndonagh 2-5
It was by no means the best performance of the season but the boys got the job done with a 6 point win over Carndonagh on a blustery day in Moyle Park on Sunday. A strong wind was blowing mainly sideways across the pitch but whatever slight advantage was to be had from it went with Na Galloglaigh in the first half, and they managed to clock up 1-8 to Carns 2-3 by the time the half time whistle went. Carn put it up to the lads in the first half, and defended very well, forcing our forwards into shooting from awkward angles, while at the other end they scored two goals to lead for a period midway through the first half. Our own goal came when a lovely David Curley through ball was latched onto by Kane Barrett and he slotted home from 10 yards in the 25th minute. The month long absence of gametime was evident as overall the lads looked rusty today with some wayward hand passing but the wind was also a contributing factor to the ‘sloppiness’ on show. The defence worked very well in the second half and restricted Carn to just 2 points despite them having the wind advantage in the second half. Carn began an aerial bombardment late on which the full back line of Kieran Sheridan, Sean Black and Cormac Friel dealt well with, while Caolan Mc Gettigan also made a number of great saves. There will be no game next week as Donegal take on Dublin at Croke Park. Team: Sean Gallagher, Cormac Friel, Sean Black, Kieran Sheridan, Dean Burgess, Conor McNulty, Paul Grier, Paul Sweeney, Jonny Logue, Christopher Barrett (0-1), Pauric Curley (0-1), David Curley (0-3), Kane Barrett (1-2), Cathal Mc Gettigan (0-6), Gary Merritt (0-1). Subs: Caolan McGettigan and Tj Evesson for Gallagher and Sweeney (HT), Brandon Toye for McNulty (42m)
*Senior Ladies – Senior Championship 2nd Leg*
CLG BnaG 1-6 Glenfin 0-7
The Ladies won the battle on Sunday night but unfortunately lost the war, as their 2 point victory over Glenfin tonight wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit from the 1st leg. The Ladies were fierce unlucky and on another night could have won by the required 22 point margin. In both halves they had goal efforts go narrowly wide and the Glenfin goalkeeper had a stormer between the sticks. Nevertheless it was a good experience for the Ladies in their maiden venture in the Senior Championship and hopefully they can take that experience on to bigger and better things next year. Team: Denise Gallagher, Katie McAteer, Aoife Gallagher, Karen Peoples, Claire Murray, Orla Harrison, Bridgeen Devenney, Roisin Boyce, Michelle Doherty, Mairead Coll, Caoimhe Barrett, Orla McAteer, Donna Martin, Lianne Boyce, Niamh Carr. Subs: Amber Barrett for Peoples (20m)

*Minors*
The Minor season came to a close on Monday night as the lads bowed out of the Championship away to Carndonagh. The lads will probably feel they underachieved this year but it was great to see many of them play key roles so far this season for the Senior and Reserve teams, and no doubt the vast majority of them will have important roles in the U21 team playing St Nauls next week also. The management team of Pauric Curley and Barry McNulty would like to thank the boys who put in the hard work and dedication throughout the year.
