GOLF NEWS: ANGELA KILGALLEN WINS THE LADIES OPEN AT BARNHILL

GOLF LOGOLETTERKENNY LADIES GOLF

The Ladies Club would like to wish the club President, Mr Barry Ramsay a very enjoyable and successful President’s Day on Saturday.

The Open last Tuesday was kindly and generously sponsored by Pauline and Mark Doherty, Century Cinema, Letterkenny.

The winner with 40 pts was Angela Kilgallen, losing 3 shots for her great score, congratulations Angela. Runner Up was Maureen Haran, 35pts and it is great to see Maureen in the winner’s enclosure again after a lengthy injury. Gross was won by Tracy Spence with 23 gross pts and 3rd was Celine Markey, 34pts. F9 was won with 20pts by the in form Lady Captain’s winner, Monica Mc Donagh and the B9 by Mary Murray with 16pts, who was runner up in Lady Captain’s prize.

The visitor’s prize was won by Anne Spence, Belfast with 30 pts and 36Hcp was won by Eileen Harvey, 29pts.

There are still several competitions in September to be played so don’t be hiding away the golf clubs in the garage yet.

Arrange your own partners for the Sept. medal and there is an alternate day on the 6th Sept for this medal which has the usual main day on the 9th, see notice board for details.

The Ladies Club would like to offer their sympathy to Annie Shaw and her family on the very sad death of her husband Frank, may he Rest in Peace.
