The brilliant Boyle family honour their mum up Errigal.

They came, they climbed and they raised a shed-load of money for the Donegal Alzheimer’s Association.

The Boyle family from Errity in Manorcunningham decided they wanted to raise some funds for the group in honour of their beloved mum Ethna.

Ethna, 69, suffers from Alzheimers so her six sons and six daughters all came together on Saturday last to climb Errigal.

Two of the brothers traveled form Scotland while another two made the journey form their homes in England.

And while it may have bucketed from the heavens, the group had an amazing time.

Not only that but they managed to raise more than €1,400 for the group.

And if you happened to miss the guys heading up Errigal and wanted to give them a couple of euro, then don’t panic.

The group have set up a donation fund which will be open until the end of September.
