Finn Valley athlete Helen Stockdale’s winning streak continued last night when she clinched an impressive victory in the annual Millisle (Co Down) six mile road race.
After claiming gold medals over 400 metres, 800 metres, 1500 metres and 3,000 metres at the NIMAA Track & Field Championships on Saturday last, the Northern Ireland international star showed her ability over the longer distance with an impressive win in 37:08.
Orangegrove AC’s Leann Gibson followed in 39:47 with Julie Murphy (Lagan Valley AC) in third in a time of 40:36.
