Layout 1Experience Tory Island with Rock agus Roam.

Fairies, wishing stones, interred Indian princesses, and even a cursing stone with deadly powers…..

You’ve heard all the stories but now it’s time to experience this very special island for yourself.

Rock agus Roam has designed a weekend that will ensure you experience the very best of Tory with a guided star gazing night walk, Sean Nós and set dancing workshops, winkle picking with the King himself.

Learn about the legendary Colmcille and visit the many archaeological sites.

And then take to the floor for an unforgettable Ceilí Mór – what Tory is famous for.

There was never a better time to visit this magical island, immerse yourself in the culture and practise your “cupla focal”.

It promises to be an unforgettable experience, with plenty of free time to relax and take it all in.

“A dance with the king is best described as a fair ground ride, you just follow his lead and he makes you feel like you can really dance, amazing feeling” (Moira, mng.ie)

The weekend package includes two nights shared B&B in Tory Hostel return boat trip, all the activities, guides and entertainment.

You just never know who you’ll meet on Tory.

Leaving Magheraroarty pier at 7.30pm on the 12th September and returning on the 14th at 4.30pm.

Places are limited, early booking is advised.

Bígí linn I Toraigh

An raibh sé i gcónaí ar intinn agat dul go hOileán Thoraigh? Chuala tú na scéalta uilig faoi, agus ba mhaith leat do chéadfa a thumadh in uiscí ársa na háite seo!

Bhal, níl dóigh níos fearr leis an deis sin a thapú ná le Rock agus Roam an Meán Fómhair seo….

Cinnteoidh ár bpacáiste deireadh seachtaine go mbainfidh tú gach tairbhe as ollmhaitheasaí Thoraigh le siúlóidí treoraithe agus mar aon leis sin, beidh radharc réalt oíche ann, stair Chomcille, damhsa ar an tsean-nós, ceardlanna damhsa seit agus céilí, baint faochóg i gcuideachta an Rí é féin agus céilí mór nach ndéanfaidh tú dearmad go deo de, an rud a bhfuil Toraigh iomráiteach as.

Rachaidh a tharlóidh duit i gcion go mór ort, agus neart ama agat le sult a bhaint as ar do sháimhín shó.

“Tá rince leis an Rí mar a bheifeá ar shíob shiamsaíochta, lean a threoir agus creidfidh tú gur scoth dhamhsóir thú, iontach go deo”! (Moira, mng.ie)

Tá dhá oíche lóistín agus bricfeasta roinnte i mBrú Thoraigh (cuir €30 leis don óstán), turas fillte báid, iomlán na n-imeachtaí, treoraithe agus siamsaíocht sa phacáiste deireadh seachtaine.

Ag fágáil cé Mhachaire Uí Rabhartaigh ag 7.30pm ar an 12 lá agus ag filleadh ar an 14 lá ar an 4.30pm. Tá líon na bpacáistí teoranta, is fearr é a chur in áirithe go luath.

Ní fhéadfá am níb fhearr a roghnú le cuairt a thabhairt ar an oileán draíochtach seo agus eolas a chur ar a stair agus ar a bhéaloideas, cuir na céadfa ar maos sa chultúr, cleachtaigh na ‘cúpla focal’ agus bíodh rince agat leis an Rí. Ní bheadh a fhios agat cé eile a bheadh thart.
