Looking for something different for your child to do after school or at weekends?
Why not bring them along to 19th Donegal (Lifford/Clonleigh) Scout Group and see what’s on offer, the Group are holding their registration evening tonight (Tuesday) from 7pm – 8pm at the Den which is behind the Eclipse Cinema.
The group have been catering for young people from the Lifford/Castlefin/St Johnston area for the past 34 yrs providing a fun filled, adventurous programme from young people from the age of 6 yrs to 15yrs, where they learn, play and have fun in a safe and friendly non educational environment with a strong emphasise on the outdoors and the environment.
During the past 34 yrs members of the group have attended many camps all over the Ireland and further afield. Indeed several members have travelled to Germany, Norway, England, Wales, Holland, etc.
The adult volunteers, Scouters, have a vast amount experience and have completed all the necessary training including Child Protection Awareness and have all been vetted.
We are always looking for new Adult members who can give of a few hours of their time each week to work with the young people or if you know of a young person who is working on the Gaisce awards, Scouting would be a great way of working on the Community area of your project. Don’t worry if you never were involved in Scouting or other voluntary work as appropriate training will be provided.
