SOCCER NEWS: CAPPRY EARN SUPER 2-0 WIN OVER GLENEA UNITED

AO2X4350CAPPRY ROVERS NOTES

SENIOR TEAM

Well done to Cappry Rovers on their great win over Glenea Utd yesterday at Cappry park.

The game finished 2-0 with Dylan Ramsey grabbing a stunning goal on the 24th minute and another on the 75th minute after great work and skill from Benny McLaughlin who cut in from the left, beat 2 defenders and picked out Dylan on the right hand side of the box. Dylan made no mistake slamming the ball past Joe Coll in the Glenea nets and secured the 3 points for Cappry.

It was a great win for Cappry, but the form of the erratic Gavin Reilly will no doubt worry the management staff.

He was out-of-sorts all afternoon, and struggled to cope with the lively Glenea frontline.

While he also struggled to find any of his team mates, delivering a series of inaccurate passes throughout the day.

Hopefully it was just a bad day at the office for Gavin, and we’re hoping his excursions in Dublin the previous weekend were the reason for his below-par display.

Cappry Rovers are back in action again next weekend in the FAI Junior Cup when they host Whitestrand Utd at Cappry Park, kick off at 2pm.

Please come out and offer your support to the team.

Senior training is on Wednesday evening. Players to be on the pitch for 7.30pm.
