untitled (72)Milford GAA Club is hosting a unique event for all die-hard Donegal fans this Sunday.

Taking place at Rathmullan beach, the ‘Double Dip for Donegal’ invites members of the public to jump into the sea, not once, but twice, to show their support for the county minor and senior teams ahead of their double header at Croke Park the following week.

The ‘Double Dip for Donegal’ is open to all ages and participants are more than welcome to wear their Milford or Donegal jerseys.

Donation boxes will be placed on the beach and all funds raised are in aid of the Donegal County Training Fund.

This is a great chance to show the county minor and senior teams that our parishes are fully behind them.

So make sure you make it to Rathmullan Beach on Sunday, 14th September at 6.00pm, (beside the car park, to the left hand side of the pier).

You can also keep an eye on the Milford GAA Facebook for further updates.

The county is awash with colour and excitement ahead of the All-Ireland SFC final with Kerry at Croke Park.

However, it’s not just us living in Donegal that are excited for the match, the large Donegal diaspora that are spread all over the globe are gearing up for the big match on September the 21st.

Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure has been inundated with requests for jerseys, t-shirts, hats, flags and scarves by Donegal GAA fans all over the world.

In the past two weeks, the store has shipped Donegal products to a range of countries including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and the United Arab Emirates.

Anticipation in the shop has been building all week as Donegal gears up for the All Ireland Final against Kerry in under two weeks’ time.

A steady stream of Donegal fans visit the store daily, all determined to be decked out in their county colours for the double clash with Kerry on September 21st.

The shop’s Assistant Manager, Martin Sweeney told Donegal Daily, “People are so excited about the Donegal minor and senior teams making it to the All-Ireland Final.

“There is also heightened sense of pride among Donegal people living abroad.

“From the sales and queries we’ve received, we can imagine Donegal fans from Canada to Canberra will be decked out in their county colours on Sept 21st.

“We are delighted to be able to provide an extra link to Donegal people abroad for this exciting occasion.”
