NorthfitNorthFit are offering local businesses the opportunity to engage in employee well-being by participating in a whole host of ‘fun’ fitness activities at a forthcoming ‘Corporate Challenge’ event next month.

Annette Houston founder of NorthFit who are a leading Health|Wellness|Fitness provider based in Donegal see’s this event as way to ‘encourage Physical Fitness in the workplace.

She told Donegal Daily, “We fully believe that employers who promote activity, wellness and nutrition will notice a more positive and productive workforce, fewer sick days, lowered stress levels and greater employee engagement.

Absenteeism costs businesses 1.5billion annually, as employees level of productivity can drop due to a lack of motivation, and dis-engagement between employees and management.

The NorthFit ‘Fun Day’ event offers businesses the chance to take part in activities and challenges that they can also use as team building exercises to help improve and strengthen their focus on employee wellness.

The event has been organised by NorthFit who stress they want to implement the ‘fun’ in fitness.

Packie Mailey of NorthFit told Donegal Daily ‘We know some individuals can be intimidated or lack confidence to kick-start their journey to a healthier lifestyle so we see this as an ideal way to encourage people to get active again by participating in a series of fun physical and mentally stimulating challenges.

“This event will also challenge those who regularly participate in exercise.

‘We are delighted so far with the response from local businesses, some are really keen on using the event as a team building exercise, while others have expressed their interest in it as a great way to improve their fitness and have a good laugh at the same time.

It’s great to see that businesses in the Letterkenny place such importance on staff health!’

If your business is up for the CHALLENGE and would like to participate in the event on the 4th of October in Letterkenny please Contact Annie Houston – 086-8329336 or Packie Mailey 086-4039064.
