Finn Harps threw away a one goal lead but are still in with a shout of reaching the FAI Cup semi-final.finn harps logo

The Donegal team had to travel all the way to Cork to take on non-league side Avondale Utd.

And when Mickey Funston opened the scoring for Harps, it looked as if Ollie Horgan’s side were heading for the last four of the blue ribbon competition.

But highly-rated Avondale managed to level the scores and the sides must do it all again on Wednesday night next.

This time Harps are hoping that home advantage will help them save their season and qualify for the semi-final.
