There’s going to be a row in the Doherty house in Buncrana this weekend.

Not because somebody was home late or somebody crashed the car – it’s much worse than that!

It’s about who is going to accompany Anne Marie Doherty to Croke Park now she has won two tickets with Donegal Daily and Donegal Creameries to Sunday’s All-Ireland Final.

A delighted Anne-Marie picked up her tickets today and had her dad Sean with her as a bodyguard in case someone mugged up on her way back to Inishowen.

Anne-Marie, 18, who is a Leaving Cert pupil at Scoil Mhuire in Buncrana, revealed “I have been to every match this season but I couldn’t get a ticket for the final.

“When Donegal Daily called me and left a message to say I had won the tickets, I was that excited that I pressed the wrong button and deleted the message.

“I’m over the moon and can’t thank Donegal Daily and Donegal Creameries enough,” she said.

Anne-Marie revealed she is in the same class as Donegal minor star John Campbell while Darrach O’Connor called in to see his former schoolmates last week.

Editor of Donegal Daily, Stephen Maguire, said he was delighted that a genuine fan had won the tickets.

“Don’t get me wrong I entered the competition six times myself but I was told I couldn’t win the tickets.

“But I’m delighted that Anne-Marie, who is a genuine fan, won the tickets. She’s a lovely person.

“I just wouldn’t like to be in the Doherty house this weekend because there’ll be some bribery going on to see who gets that other ticket,” he said.
