Dozens of former members of the Defence Forces gathered at Conwal Graveyard in Letterkenny yesterday for a unique occasion.

In recent weeks, a stunning memorial in honour of the deceased members of the Defence Forces has ben constructed.

And yesterday, in stunning sunshine, the official unveiling of the memorial took place.

Many thanks to Geraldine Diver for the photos.
