Many thanks to all who helped out in any way, players, team coaches, parents, guests, musicians, those who helped with the catering/food (donations of home baking), car parking, side shows, photos, club merchandise, etc.

So much work has gone in over the year/years for this day to happen and numerous people have helped out in so many ways big and small it would be impossible to name everyone .

Your help is greatly appreciated by CLG Iorras.

Thanks again one and all.

The Official Opening was performed by Mairtin Mac Aibhne, President of the Ulster GAA Council and the new Bishop of Derry Donal Mc Keown blessed the clubhouse.

Club Chairman Danny Friel thanked all invited guests, past committee members and players for attending and to all in the Clonmany Parish for their support on the day and on an ongoing basis.

In his speech special praise was given to Helen Farren and her family.

The Development Committee namely Mark Gilmore, Shane Doherty and to grounds-man Jim Kelly.

He concluded by thanking all who helped in any way with making the day possible.

Mairtin Mac Aibhne, Sean Dunnion, Donegal County Board Chairman and other speakers spoke of the superb facilities that the club now have in place, the number of youth teams and wished the club well for the years to come.

All in all another great in the clubs history and enjoyed by all.

OTHER CLUB NEWS

JUNIOR A CHAMPIONSHIP: The Senior men beat Convoy in the Semi-final of the championship on Saturday night by 9 points to 8 in Ballybofey.

Not the best performance by the team on the night but great to be in the final on October 12th against Naomh Ultan.

LADIES FOOTBALL: The ladies play Red Hughs in the semi-final of the

Junior B Championship on Saturday at 12 noon. Venue to be confirmed check our facebook page for updates.

CLUB IORRAS: September Winners: €50-John Farren, Ballyliffin,

€30-Paul Friel, Boston and €20-Jimmy Donaghey, Dunaff.
