The Swilly Seals Swimming Club had their first gala of the season at home against Marlins Swimming Club from Ballyshannon.
This was the first time these two clubs met in a club gala as both swim in different leagues.
It was a friendly gala giving club coaches the chance to try out new talent and tweek the squad ahead of a busy competitive season.
The Seals came out on top after a very competitive and exciting gala.
A big thank you to the Marlins for making the trip up to Letterkenny.
A big thank you also to all the parents who helped out with timing and the refreshments afterwards.
A lot of new talent from both clubs took to the water for the first time in competition and done themselves and their clubs proud.
The stalwarts gave their usual display of excellent swimming.
The Swilly Seals has a membership of around 150 swimmers from far and wide, some swimmers travelling from as far as Kilcar, Carrigart, Cruit Island and Fanad. And the club also has swimmers from Poland, South Africa, Hungary The Phillipeans.
The seals are holding a fundraising car wash this Saturday at Tinneys of Bonagee.
This is in conjunction with Pramerica. So come along and get your car washed and support a great club
