The Donegal South-West TD said whoever is responsible for the attack should reflect on the damage in as done to the local community.

He also said Orangism is part of our culture and must be respected.

“There is huge outrage in the county in relation to the arson attack on the orange hall and the church in Convoy last night, especially given the fact that this is the second such incident in the past three weeks.

“Those who instigated last night’s attack should reflect on their actions and the impact it has had on the local community.

“Orangeism is a part of our culture as reflected in our national flag and those who are targeting orange halls in this manner do not represent the views of the wider community, who are sickened by these actions.”
