Fintown Harps AFC 1 Donegal Town Reserves 6
Donegal Town Reserves took all three points from their visit to Pairc Achla. Three quickfire goals left the home side trailing early on. Despite their best efforts Fintown couldn’t find a way back into the game. Donegal added two more before Brian Delany registered for the hosts. Donegal made it six in the dying minutes of this one sided affair.
Glencar Celtic 1 Castlefin Celtic Reserves 0
A shower of rain in the warm up left the Flagpole Field in perfect zippy conditions for this encounter between Glencar and Castlefin Reserves. Glencar’s inform striker Michael Molloy opened the scoring after 10 minutes. Paddy Collins played Molloy in down the left and he crossed for Grieve who’s left footed volley was saved by the keeper only for the ball to rebound back out to the inrushing Molloy who showed good instinct to follow up his cross. Glencar bossed the game for the first twenty minutes having numerous chances but the second goal eluded them. Castlefin started brightest in the second half, with Glencar looking sluggish, and nearly got their reward with a strike from outside the box hitting the top of the Glencar bar. A hard fought win for the champions. Good team performance from both teams with Marty Brogan best for Glencar.
Glencar Inn Saturday Division Two
Drumoghill F.C. Reserves 6 Ramelton Mariners 4
Drumoghill got their first win of the season from this ten goal thriller at “The Moss”. In a game full of attacking play the fans were entertained from start to finish Drumoghill lead 3-1 at half time with goals from Eunan Kelly, Liam O’ Donnell and Eathan Mc Creedy. Ricky Fisher scored for Ramelton . Kelly went on to complete his hat-trick in the second half with Chris Malseed completing the Drumoghill scoring with a 30 yard shot. Gavin Mackey, Corey Mc Cahill and Peter Brannigan scored for the visitors. Good sporting performance from both teams
Keadue Rovers Reserves 1 Tullyvinney Rovers 1
This game ended level at Central Park on a blustery Saturday afternoon where both sides fought out a well contested draw. It was Keadue who had the brighter opening and more possession. Tullyvinney had the first effort on target after twelve minutes but it was saved by Keadue keeper Ben Boyle. Keadue’s first chance fell to Sean Mc Monagle but he shot wide on nineteen minutes. Paul Carlin gave the visitors the lead on twenty seven minutes with a great strike to the top corner of the net. At the start of the second half the visitors were on top despite playing against a strong breeze. Luke Neely had a good effort saved by the Tullyvinney keeper on fifty five minutes. A moment after that Tullyvinney had a shot just over the bar. On fifty eight minutes Keadue’s Ryan Greene was adjudged to have been fouled in the box and he cooly slotted away the resultant penalty to make it all square. This sparked Keadue into life and they enjoyed a good spell for the next ten minutes without scoring. Tullyvinney to their credit regained possession and were on top from seventy minutes onwards. In the end a good point for Keadue from a battling performance where Tullyvinney had more possession and looked slightly the more likely winners. Best for Keadue were Ryan O’Donnell, Ryan Greene and Ben Boyle, while best for Tullyvinney were Denis McBride, Stephen Devine and Nigel Hegarty
Curragh Athletic Reserves 0 Strand Rovers 0
This was an evenly contested affair played at the New Camp Complex in Killygordon. The home side will be frustrated with not taking some of the numerous chances they created however Strand Rovers also had plenty of chances, especially in the first half. Gary Heaney was a constant threat to the Strand rearguard and Conor Gallagher was providing him with plenty of possession from the left-back slot. Stephen Glackin headed over for Rovers when well positioned but it was one of those days when the ball wouldn’t go in the net. Jonny Corcoran and Gary Heaney were best for Curragh with Rovers solid throughout the side.
Drumbar F.C. 1 Mulroy Celtic 5
Mulroy took the lead on 30 minutes after some weak Drumbar defending and they added a second to go in two ahead at half time. Drumbar were still in the game until the last quarter when Mulroy added 3 quick goals to kill off the home side. Jack Taylor got a late consolation goal for the home side. Best for Drumbar were Darragh Doogan, Enda Brogan and Ray Balogun. Team effort from Mulroy.

Gweedore Celtic 0 Rathmullan Celtic 2
A brace of goals from Dara Patton in the last ten minutes settled this match at a windswept Screaban. Rathmullan played with the wind in the first half and dominated possession. Kieran Ferry, in goals for Gweedore, made several fine saves as Rathmullan created a number of openings. Eamon Doogan had an effort for Gweedore that went over the bar. The second half continued with the visiting team dominating possession. The deadlock was broken on eighty minutes with Dara Patton nipping in between a defender and the advancing keeper. He made the game safe on 90 minutes with a good strike into the corner. Best for Gweedore were Kieran Ferry, Shane Mc Clafferty and Joe Bonner. Referee: Marty Quinn
Cranford United 3 Kildrum Tigers 3
The points were shared in a very open affair in Cranford where all the goals were scored in the first half. The game started at a frantic pace and within 15 minutes Kildrum took the lead. Good work down the right side from the Kildrum winger led to him squaring to William Lynch who swept the ball home. Cranford equalised shortly after when a long punt from the keeper made its way through to Kyle Black who neatly placed the ball into the bottom corner. Cranford then took the lead after Kyle Black was fouled in the box, he converted the resulting penalty himself. Kildrum equalised and then took the lead for a second time through a Shane Porter free kick. Kyle Black then equalised and completed his hat-trick, fed by a Niall Doherty flick on. The second half was a close affair just like the first but neither team could score. A draw a fair result in the end. Best for Cranford Kyle black, Seamus McLaughlin and Niall Doherty. Team performance by Kildrum.
Lifford Celtic 2 Donegal Town 2
Lifford went in front early when Declan Laverty got on the end of a Mc Brearty corner on five minutes. Lifford doubled their lead when Laverty hit the net again from 25 yards on 50 minutes. Lifford should have gone further ahead on numerous occasions but couldn’t find the net. Donegal Town rallied in the final five minutes, finding the net twice to snatch a draw. Team performances from both sides.

Kilmacrennan Celtic 3 Copany Rovers 0
Kilmacrennan gained three points from a comfortable victory over Copany. Kilmacrennan started brightly and took the lead through a fine looped header from Timmy Burke. Midway through the second half Kilmac extended their lead when Gary Gorman headed home from a Kevin Mc Menamin free kick. Kilmacrennan had further chances to extend their lead but eventually put the game to bed in the 70th minute when Timmy Burke volleyed home. Team effort from Copany with Timmy Burke and Michael Mc Laughlin best for Kilmac.
Curragh Athletic 6 Dunkineely Celtic 3
A thirty minute scoring rout saw Curragh completely dominate this game and although Dunkineely threatened a lot more in the second half the home side were always in control. Gerard Melaugh opened the scoring on twelve minutes when he drilled home a free-kick. It was two nil on eighteen minutes when Calvin Bradley took a pass from Melaugh and scored the first of his hat-trick. He then added his second on twenty one minutes with a fine solo effort. On thirty one minutes, Colm Melaugh got in on the act when he finished off the move of the match with a fine finish after been put through by Dan O’ Brien. It became four one on forty seven minutes when Adrian Mackey drilled home a fine free-kick from twenty five yards. Player/Manager Neill Lloyd then made it five for Curragh on sixty six minutes. Adrian Nesbitt converted a penalty for Dunkineely on sixty eight minutes and added another solo goal on eighty seven minutes. Curragh had the final say on ninety minutes when man of the match Bradley completed his hat-trick after good work from Gary Kelly. This was a good team effort from both teams and a good performance from Curragh as they opened their account on their fine newly laid grass surface. Referee: Paddy Duffy
Kerrykeel ’71 F.C. 3 Whitestrand United 2
The ‘71 had a brilliant result over local rivals Whitestrand at Rab’s Park on Sunday. The home team started the better and went in front on six minutes when Ducky Callaghan played in Barney Mc Bride and he coolly slotted the ball past Paddy Kelly to score his second of the season. The Strand came back into the game and had chances through Paul Lynch and Sean Martin before Philip Hegarty got them level with a fine strike from the edge of the box. Paul Lynch put the Strand in front on thirty minutes when he headed home from six yards after a great cross from S.P Gallagher. The ‘71 came back fighting and drew level on the stroke of half time when Shaun Patton crossed in from the left to see Paddy Kelly clearing with his fist, the ball falling to Colm Mc Gonigle who sent in a pin point cross which was met by Paul Friel and his brilliant header found the top corner. The second half started with Kerrykeel on top but had Brendan Nanny to thank for two brilliant saves on fifty and fifty five minutes, the first a free from Paddy Sheridan and the second a shot from James Gallagher. The winning goal came on seventy eight minutes when Paul Friel sent in a free from the left to find Shaun Callaghan ghosting in at the far post to guide his header home much to the delight of the home bench. A brilliant result for the ‘71 in what was an outstanding team performance with Kevin Loughrey excelling. Best for Whitestrand were S.P. Gallagher and Paddy Sheridan. Referee: Kevin Logue

Raphoe Town 1 Eany Celtic 0
On a cold and blustery day in Raphoe “The Town” welcomed Eany Celtic to the Deele College grounds. Raphoe started well and in spells played some good football with Reece Laird and Mark Bogle going close on a few occasions. Mark Bogle broke the deadlock in the 35th minute when he waltzed past three Eany defenders and finished well into the bottom corner. Eany came more into the game after the break and played some good football with Mc Groarty starting to dictate things but to be fair Paul Carberry in the Raphoe goal for some fine saves. Paddy Gallagher and Keelin Gillen were best for Raphoe. Referee: Victor Rainey
Deele Harps 4 Letterbarrow Celtic 0
Deele Harps got their season back on track with a hard fought win over Letterbarrow at The Athletic Grounds. Deele took the lead in the 15th minute when Steve Devine’s pinpoint cross was headed home by Shane Gallagher. Deele had to wait until the 65th minute before increasing their lead when young Kevin Lynch picked the ball up on the right of midfield and released Barry Curran whose mazy run led to a simple finish for Kevin Lynch. Deele added a third goal in the 75th minute when Cathal “Farmer” McGowan finished well from the edge of the box after starting the move from his own half. Deele rounded off the scoring in the 87th minute when Shane Gallagher tapped home from inside the box. Best for Deele were Cathal “Farmer” McGowan and Kevin Lynch, Team performance from Letterbarrow.
Convoy Arsenal 2 Ballybofey United 1
There was a good buzz in Orchard Park on Friday night as convoy hosted their neighbours under the lights. The home side started well in the opening 10 minutes and nearly took the lead when Johnny Robb poked the ball narrowly wide. Ballybofey managed to get a foothold in the game and stopped Convoy playing, but in the 25th minute and a little against the run of play Convoy took the lead through the lively Johnny Robb after a good run by Shane mc Laughlin. Ballybofey managed to get back on level terms in the 33rd minute when Aaron Mc Auley slotted the ball home. The rest of the half was a cagey affair with neither side creating any clear openings. The second half was much the same with a very physical battle in midfield dominating proceedings. Convoy had a strong penalty appeal turned down in the 55th minute but one arrived five minutes later when Paul O’ Leary was taken down in the box. Johnny Robb got his second of the night when he put the Ballybofey keeper the wrong way from the spot. Ballybofey made a few changes and managed to put Convoy under pressure for the remainder of the game. Chris O’ Donnell made a great diving save near the end to keep Convoy in the lead. Best for Convoy were Paul O’ Leary, Lee Guthrie and Shane Mc Laughlin with a good team performance from Ballybofey. Referee: John Coyle.
