Donegal Pet Rescue are to host their annual dinner dance – with two very special guests on the night!10654106_10204819937844105_1669238778_n

As many are aware DPR had to close its doors for a period this year because of the large number of dogs on their waiting list and in their care which needed to be adopted before they could take in new cases.

Thankfully they worked through the list and are now up and functioning at a more normal rate again.

“We have 38 dogs/pups in our care at present. We are running this dinner dance to firstly raise much vital needed funds to keep the rescue running on a day to day basis and to save more animals,” said a spokesman.

DPR also are using this opportunity to show the public and celebrate the success stories of 2014.

“We will have two very special guest on the night, firstly we will have one of the Springer pups that was rescued from Lifford with 26 other Springers.

“As you may remember they were living in horrific conditions and were really un-socialised. It was a huge rescue mission but thankfully they were all adopted out and now this pup is back to visit us on the night and his owner will tell us all about the journey he has been on from then to now.

Freddie the Pug is one of two special guests on the night!

“We also have Freddie the little pug that was stolen from his garden just before his owners wedding and how they desperately searched for him and thankfully with great help from social media family and friends he was discovered 7 weeks later and returned to his very thankful owners again.”

Tickets are priced at €25 each and include a 4 course meal, entertainment by the Confederates and a free entry into the draw. Some of our foster parents will be in attendance to answer any questions for those who may be interested.

So please we really need the support of all our followers. Come along enjoy the night and in the process you are helping save another animal’s life.

Tickets are available at LKPETS Glencar, DPR Charity shop, any foster parent or call 0862222006 to arrange to get a ticket.

Thank you in advance for helping us help them.
