The fire at Neil T Blaney road this evening.

The fire at Neil T Blaney road this evening.

Gardai and the fire services have responded to a fire on the Neil T Blaney Road in Letterkenny.

The fire started just before 7pm this evening and send a large plume of thick, black smoke into the air that was visible from miles around.

Traffic in the area build up as motorists slowed down to see the cause of the fire.

It is understood the fire was set at waste materials on disused ground.

Nobody was hurt in the blaze.
