SOCCER NEWS: CAPPRY HELD TO 1-1 DRAW BY DONEGAL TOWN ON SUNDAY

IRELAND TRIP

The club organised a trip for our under 14 and 16 teams to the Ireland v’s Gibraltar game on Saturday in the Aviva. A great days fun was had by all the lads who behaved very well on the day and were a credit to their families and the club.

GOOD LUCK

The club would like to extend their best wishes to Benny McLaughlin who is in the Donegal League Oscar Traynor team that are to play the Cavan/ Monaghan League on Sunday.

CAPPRY ROVERS LOTTO

Last weeks lotto numbers were 7, 8, 10, 15. There was no jackpot winner.

The winner of the €50 lucky ticket was Eugene Kelly, The Weavers.

Next weeks jackpot is €1050. Remember if you’re not in you can’t win!!

SENIORS

Cappry Rovers senior team travelled through The Gap to take on Donegal Town on Sunday and came back with a valuable point. Kyle Lafferty scored for Cappry in the 1-1 draw. No game this weekend.

Senior training is on Wednesday evening. Players to be on the pitch for 7.30pm.

CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 18’s

The under 18’s played Bunagee Utd on Saturday evening in Cappry and had an evening to forget. They were reduced to 10 men after 5 minutes and they were really up against it after that. They showed great character for the rest of the 1st half but went in at the break 2 nil down. Things went from bad to worse in the 2nd half and unfortunately they finished the wrong side of a 7-1 result with Matthew McGinley grabbing the Cappry goal.

Their next match is away to Swilly Rovers this Saturday at 4pm.

CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 16’s

The under 16’s are back in action again this weekend in the National Cup with an away trip to Buncrana.

Day and time to be confirmed.

CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 14’s

The under 14’s beat Castlefin Celtic 6-1 in their opening league game in Cappry Park. The Cappry goals came from Jamie Murray (2), Kieran Neeson, Alex McGeehan and 2 own goals.

They are playing Bunagee Utd this weekend in the National cup in Cappry Park.

No times set yet.

CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 12’s

The under 12’s are back in action again this Saturday with a home game against Lagan Harps.

LAST MAN STANDING

Cappry Rovers are starting a Last Man Standing competition based on Premier league games starting with the fixtures on the 1st week of November.

Anybody interested can get coupons by contacting Danny (087 7797581), Jamie (087 7524128) or any of the coaches. All coupons to be in by 7pm, Friday 31st.
