KILCAR manager and former Donegal senior team No2 Rory Gallagher has submitted his application to replace Jim McGuinness, Donegal Daily can reveal.
He joins Paddy Carr and Cathal Corey in the race for the position, with a meeting of the county board next Monday set to ratify the process.
Carr was nominated by Fanad Gaels for the position.
Donegal Daily revealed last night that Tyrone native Corey – a close friend of Jim McGuinness, was nominated for the job by Naomh Conaill.
Rory Gallagher, who lived in Killybegs, is favourite to succeed McGuinness.
But Corey’s CV – and entry into the race – is seen as significant.
