huskyANIMAL welfare volunteers have expressed their shock and disgust after rescuing this poor husky dog, so poorly fed she was just skin and bones.

Animals In Need Donegal say the dog was one of seven rescued yesterday alone.

“We don’t know if we have ever seen a dog so thin,” said a charity spokeswoman.

“She is just skin and bone and looks so sad. She was completely emaciated.”

The charity has issued a plea to parents NOT to even think of purchasing pets as Christmas presents when so many rescue animals need good homes.

They are also desperately seeking donations to care for this husky and the many cats and dogs rescued in recent days.

Every cent donated to Animals in Need goes directly to helping the animals in our care,at the moment we have a lot of sick animals and our vet bills and food bills are enormous.

You can donate through paypal or (€2) by texting KITTEN to 50300.

(100% of text cost goes to ANIMALS IN NEED DONEGAL across most network providers. Some providers apply VAT which means that a minimum of €1.63 will go to ANIMALS IN NEED DONEGAL.
