A young Donegal singer-songwriter has been given a huge compliment after being asked to guest with one of Ireland’s most hotly-tipped acts – with gigs in two different churches!

SOAK, whose real name is Bridie Monds-Watson, hails from Derry and has record companies dropping at her feet.

She plays two major gigs this weekend at Christ Church in Derry on Friday night and the Dublin’s Unitarian Church on Saturday.

And SOAK has asked well-known Letterkenny singer-songwriter Gabriel Paschal Blake to support her.

Blake will be known by many as part of the talented bunch that made up now disbanded outfit The Jamaican Vampires.

Tickets for the Derry gig are £10 while the Dublin gig is €15 and both are available at Ticketmaster.

The Derry gig will be a great chance for local music fans to catch both acts before they go on to bigger and brighter things.
