Mental Health and Suicide Awareness – Talks and Discussion led by Fr. James Sweeney, Thursdays 13th, 20th and 27th November 2014. Time: 7:30 – 9:30pm, Venue: Dunkineely Community Ltd Offices/The Manse Dunkineely. All welcome. If you are interested please sign up by Wednesday 5th November by calling the DCL office on 074 9737678 or 087 3421922 or email us at dunkineelycommunity@gmail.com. Please note the talks/discussions would not be suitable for anyone who experienced a suicide in the past year as the subject would be too raw for them.

Farm Safety Event – Quinn’s Farm Laghey, Co.Donegal are having a Farm Safety Event on Thursday 13th November 2014 from 12:30pm until 3pm. This event is free and aims to raise awareness of safety issues on the farm for farm members and visitors. Booking is not essential, however they advise you to come early to avoid disappointment. Refreshments will be provided. For more information contact Margaret Larkin on 074 9127056 or email mlarkin@dldc.org. This event is funded by DLDC under Goal one of the Local and Community Development Programme 2014.

Conneely Travel & JIW Tours Galway Christmas Markets Tour – Christmas themed social bus tour in November. Conneely Travel and JIW Tours have organised a two day tour to Cong and Galway City’s Christmas Markets on Tuesday 25th to Wednesday 26th November 2014. The tour included dinner, B&B in the Imperial Hotel in the heart of Galway, plus lunch in Cong and free time for shopping. This is a fun, social bus tour, with some gentle strolls included. For further info, cost and bookings, ring Keith on 087 9213200 or Liam on 087 2944555.

Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal – The Team Hope Processing Team wishes to thank everyone who gave donations of “fillers”. Please note the team’s motto is to observe the integrity of any box given. We will only ever remove from a box an item that shouldn’t be in it according to the rules on the leaflet. We might however add a few items to it if it hasn’t quite met the Wear, Wash, Write, Wow categories or if it isn’t quite full enough.

If you still have boxes, please call Vanessa on 074 9737052 or the DCL Office on 074 9737678. It will not be too late until the truck leaves Letterkenny for Eastern Europe, so we will still take them from you until then!

With your help we hope to reach 2000 boxes from the South Donegal area this year! Thank you to everyone across the region who participates in this worthy project in anyway. Every box counts so thank you!
